Aims & Scope

Material Communications is a fully open-access journal from Hilltopub, publishing high-quality research, and reviews in all areas of materials science. Our mission is to present editorially selected and rigorously peer-reviewed advances that report progress in material science and engineering. We equally value fundamental and applied research, providing a community forum for issues important to all materials scientists, regardless of sub-discipline.

The journal's scope encompasses all areas of materials science and engineering, including intersections with biology, chemistry, physics, and engineering. Topics of primary interest include, but are not limited to:

Fundamental insights in material science
Applications in engineerings
Synthesis and processing
Techniques and methodologies
material characterization
Lifecycle and sustainability

Our submission and review processes are managed by in-house professional editors, supported by our Editorial Board Members, who bring technical expertise across the breadth of materials science. We are committed to the rapid dissemination of significant research results, with articles published continuously and with minimal delay from acceptance to publication.
