Special Issue Information

Structural and functionalized polymer composites have found diverse applications in industry and everyday life. The research on the manufacture and structure-properties relationships of advanced polymer composites has become one of the hottest research areas worldwide. Currently, various advanced polymer composites made by using traditional filler and fiber reinforcement as well as a variety of nanofillers like carbon, cellulose, clay, ceramic, metal nanoparticles, and so on have been extensively investigated and considerable efforts have been made for clarifying and controlling the microstructure and properties in relation to reinforcements dispersion and interfacial interactions. This special issue aims to illuminate the advances and challenges in composition design, polymer and reinforcement modifications, interface optimization, high-efficiency processing, advanced characterization, structure-properties relationships and novel applications as well as the development of new reinforcements for advanced polymer composites. Both Original Research and Review articles are welcome.
